Community Sponsorship
We help each other. Together, we make a difference.

What is Community Sponsorship
Community Sponsorship are small groups of neighbors, family, friends, and colleagues working together to temporarily (typically a 90-day minimum period) provide the basic needs of a person or family in difficult moments of transition.
Traditionally, Community Sponsorship has been used as a model around the globe to help the resettlement of refugees from war-torn countries adjust to new life in a foreign land during their first months upon arrival.

How it Works
The Two Kinds of Community Sponsorship We Do:

Sponsorship of Afghan Allies (Special Immigrant Visas)
At this very moment, thousands of Afghan allies who served alongside our troops are fleeing Taliban persecution and are in need of critical resettlement support.
Through Community Sponsorship, join hundreds of everyday citizens across the country helping our allies find a new home and opportunity in the States.
A group of community sponsors from Muncie, IN, and an Afghan refugee family they sponsored through the Welcome Corps program, a government program Patchwork Indy worked alongside with in the past.

Nurturing Our Present Communities
Across the United States, millions of immigrants have entered through lawful humanitarian pathways and are in need of critical support.
Neighbor for Neighbor helps asylum seekers and refugees already in the United States.
